Writing - Recounts
This week we are writing "recounts" about a little girl who is filling her bucket from a well in a beautiful night time setting, the huge moon turns out to be a 'creature of the night'.
We are going to write in the role of the little girl and recount what happened.
What can you do at home?
Discuss with your child what happened in the beginning, middle and end of the video. Discuss how the girl was feeling and why?
Have a go at writing your own recounts at home!

Displaying the Learning
Dear parents and caregivers,
At Glenfield Primary School we display our learning so that children can access it if they need reminding on how to do something we have covered in the past.
In our Room 2 library, students can access reading learning intentions that we have already achieved to remind themselves of how to achieve that particular learning intention.
For example, this an example of a reading lesson, learning intention covered with one reading group.
These are different groups learning intentions easily accessible for students in our classroom library.
If you want to read more about learning intentions and success criteria please click the parents tab at the top of the page.
Kind regards,
Kirsty
