Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Have a safe and wonderful holiday everyone.

I look forward to hearing about all of your exciting adventures after the holidays.

Wonderous Writing

This term, we have been learning to write a sentence.

We are sounding out our words, putting spaces between our words and using capital letters and full stops. We are also using our sight words and spelling words to help us spell words.

Remember... If you can read it, you can write it!

Well done Room 2. I am so proud of you all. Keep up the amazing work.

Earthquake

We had an earthquake drill at school.
Now we know exactly what to do if there is an earthquake and why we do it.
Talk about this with your child at home too.

Shared Book and Writing

Here is the book that we are reading together this week.

A Bad Lad

Ask your child to read this to you at home.

Ask your child to find different words on the page.

Ask your child to tell you what the story is about. What happens at the beginning, middle and end of the story?
Discuss the importance of good decision making.

This week we are writing creative pieces about this video.

WRITING

Here is the link to what we are writing about this week.

Once in a lifetime

We stopped the video part way through and wrote what we thought was going to happen.
We are also going to write about where we think the man and the turtle are going.

You could also practice doing this at home or you could describe the turtles and talk about other words for flying like gliding and soaring.

Happy reading and writing :)
